Mission Statement

We, the members of Saint Margaret Mary parish, believe ourselves to be a people called, formed and empowered by God. We affirm our sacred union and covenant with one another and with the people of God everywhere. We accept Jesus Christ as the Lord and center of our lives and recognize ourselves as a uniquely gifted people. Acknowledging what we have received, we are moved to respond. We, therefore, declare ourselves willing to share in the building up of the Kingdom of God through the power of the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to be:

A people of prayer listening and responsive to the call of God in the community, the Word and the Eucharist;

A sharing people, willing to strengthen relationships and build community with one another in practical ways;

A compassionate people, willing to care for the needy, to comfort the sick and to give consolation to the sorrowing;

A hospitable people, offering welcome and acceptance to all in a spirit of understanding and affection;

A caring people, celebrating the giftedness of each member, young and old, suffering and well women and men alike;

A people of faith, in search of deeper understanding of the Gospel and willing to share our faith experience;

In a spirit of unity we embrace this statement of our Mission and commit ourselves to work toward its end.
